The Bouchedid Foundation is seeking a volunteer intern to help support our marketing and development efforts. The intern will gain experience in marketing, media relations, corporate relations, event planning, communications and fundraising as well as the general administrative activities of the foundation. The intern will work primarily with our Founder, as well as our Board of Advisors and other volunteers. The position will be 10-20 hours per week based on the candidate's availability.
Essential duties include but are not limited to:
Marketing and Advertising : Manage and distribute content throughout our social media network; research advertisers and target audiences. Assist with social media-based awareness, development and fundraising campaigns.
Administrative : Assist with the essential administrative and organizational tasks of the department.
Media and PR : Develop and assemble press kits; update and expand our donor email lists.
Special Events : Create corporate sponsorship packages; assist with fundraising events, gala preparation and other events.
Development : Assist with organizational development activities as needed.
Pursuit or receipt of a Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Nonprofit Management or similar discipline.
Experience in an administrative or office setting desirable.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present information concisely and effectively.
Strong ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with a positive attitude
Excellent time management skills.
Ability to organize and prioritize work.
Ability to work independently with little supervision.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to think creatively and take initiative.
Proficiency in Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc...), Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
